Heartland Acres Agribition Center is an approved 501(c)(3) (tax exempt) non-profit corporation. Heartland Acres is committed to the introduction and/or enhancement of visitor’s knowledge of agricultural related initiatives from the past, present and future.

[ Visitor's Center ]

This state of the art complex will boast ammenties not found anywhere else on Highway 20 between I-35 and Dubuque. It will be located just 40 minutes North of Cedar Rapids, just 20 minutes East of Waterloo.

The center features opportunities for relaxation, tourist information, and access to the whole Heartland Agribition complex. Take a load off while strolling down the nature trail, visiting the gift shop, or utilizing the community room/theater.

[ Salute to Agriculture ]

Welcome to what will be North America's premier center for agricultural information exchange! You'll be able to see the latest in new equipment testing, crop test plots and animal breeding improvements, and learn what others are doing and how it may improve your operations.

Our multi-structure agriculture exhibit will kick off with a taste of yesterday...and a hint of tomorrow!

From antique tractors and farm equipment to modern equipment that makes farming easier and more economical. Our local farm collectors and dealers are enthusiastic about showcasing their farm equipment. You'll be able to see the advancements in farm equipment from beginning to end.

By partnering with leading seed producers, local agriculture groups, and soybean growers we'll be able keep our test plots active. Here you'll see demonstrations of the latest crop techniques, and up close views of a variety of crops.

The complex will also features live farm animals in a exhibition environment. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe feeding, animal care, and in some cases even interact with the livestock.

Individual display areas will serve as educational tools on the care and by-products from the animals. Livestock on display will range from dairy and beef cattle, to sheep, to swine, to horses.

[ Gateway to the Past ]

Local groups will proudly display priceless memorbilia to showcase the history of our county in one of the many exhibition style facilities of Heartland Acres.

Artifacts ranging from materials found in old schools, machine sheds, general stores, train depots, doctor's office, and much, much more!

[ Cars of Yesteryear ]

Heartland Acres will be proud to welcome you to a unique automotive experience. The exhibit will feature a remarkable collection of cars, including what are considered to be some of the greatest cars ever made... from turn of the century to early 60's.

The exhibit will be made possible thanks to various collectors of classic cars and car clubs.

[ Amish Country Tours ]

Step back to an earlier, slow pace of life as you'll be able to tour the Amish countryside.

The Amish are a devout and private people who farm with horses and travel about by horse and buggy. Buchanan County has one of the largest Amish communities in the nation.

Each tour will visit some of the nearly forty shops in the community. Quilts, crafts, handmade furniture, baked goods, and harness supplies are just a few of the items available.
